On 29 November 2019 the 12th meeting of the subcommittee of the International Commission for the evaluation of the crimes of the Soviet occupation regime in Lithuania was held. Members of the commission were presented with the conclusions of 5 researches.
Members of the Commission discussed conclusions of researches on “Controlled cultural relations with foreign countries” and “The status of the church. Restrictions on the rights of the Catholic church and of the congregation. Forced politics of atheism ” by Prof. dr. Arūnas Streikus, a research on “Militarization of economy: the military industry in Lithuania” by Saulius Grybkauskas, a research on “Disinformation of the free world” by dr. Kristina Burinskaitė and a research on “Usage of Lithuanian resources for the needs of the Soviet army” by dr. Inga Zakšauskienė. After a discussion, the Members of the Commission, present at the meeting, approved these conclusions. During the meeting, the directions of further researches and possibilities of cooperation with other institutions were also discussed.
