On 25 June Lithuanian teachers participated in the lecture by prof. Saulius Sužiedėlis on “Lithuanians and the Holocaust: subjects of concern”.
The lecture for the teachers was given online by prof. Saulius Sužiedėlis while in the USA. In the lecture, the professor reviewed the development and statistics of the Holocaust in Lithuania, touched upon the issues of anti-Semitism before the Holocaust, and discussed the aspects of Lithuanian collaboration with the Nazis and participation in the Holocaust. The lecture was attended by a large number of teachers from Tolerance Education Centers.
The event was organized by the Secretariat of the International Commission under the educational program “Education on the crimes of totalitarian regimes, prevention of the crimes against humanity and development of tolerance”.
