On September 23, commemorations of the Day of Remembrance of the Victims of the Genocide of Lithuanian Jews were held throughout Lithuania. Nearly two hundred Lithuanian educational institutions (189) organized commemorative processions – Roads of Memory – visiting the sites of Holocaust victims near towns and villages. Lithuanian schools marked the day with lessons, film screenings with discussions, and commemorative events.
