On May 31, Lithuanian teachers and museum staff participated in the lecture, delivered by historian dr. Alfredas Rukšėnas “General Jonas Noreika – Vėtra. Controversies in his biography”.
The lecture was given online; it was dedicated to introducing gen. Jonas Noreika’s personality, his biography and to discuss the historical events in which this person participated. In the lecture dr. Alfredas Rukšėnas touched upon general Vėtra life’s stages, actions, and choices, which still an ambiguous attitude in Lithuanian society. The lecture sparked a lot of discussion among teachers in assessing this historical personality.
The lecture was attended by 34 participants. The lecture for teachers and educators was organized by the Secretariat of the International Commission.
