International Holocaust Remembrance Day was commemorated on 27 January in Lithuanian general education institutions and tolerance education centres.
Teachers of various subjects in Lithuanian general education institutions and tolerance education centres organised activities for students to commemorate the Holocaust and International Holocaust Remembrance Day on 27 January.
Teachers organised thematic and integrated lessons, film screenings with discussions, and visits to Jewish mass murder sites. Teachers participating in TOLI (Olga Lengyel Institute) seminars and projects on the Holocaust in Lithuania also organised activities to implement project activities. Teachers and educators who participated in Memorial de la Shoah’s international seminars used the methodological guidelines on the Holocaust in Europe and Lithuania developed for their activities with students.
