On March 9, a national students’ conference was held at Lavoriškės Gymnasium in Vilnius district to remember the events of Lithuanian history and to commemorate the Day of the Restoration of the State of Lithuania – March 11.
This is the seventh year of the conference organized by Lavoriškės Gymnasium. This year’s title was “Vilnius – Klaipėda Motorway: 700 Years of History”.
School communities from eight general education institutions took part in the event. The conference featured 24 presentations on various historical topics: from the most ancient rulers of Lithuania to the most recent events in Lithuanian history: the restoration of independence, the activities of the Sąjūdis, the recognition of Lithuania, etc.
The conference was organized by the Centre for Tolerance Education of Lavoriškės Gymnasium in cooperation with the Secretariat of the International Commission.
