On 16 September, 2019 a seminar for teachers “The culture and history of another (different) – the concept of tolerance” was held in Alytus, Sakalėlio primary school.
The seminar was attended by teachers from Sakalėlio primary school and teachers from other Alytus educational institutions where Tolerance education centers are functioning. During the seminar there were several topics discussed – topics of tolerance and intolerance, presentation of the Holocaust to pupils, preparation of pupils for commemorative historical dates. Ingrida Vilkienė, coordinator of education programs of the International Commission, presented the educational program and its guidelines implemented by the Secretariat of the International Commission.
The seminar was organized by the Secretariat of the International Commission in cooperation with the Tolerance Education Center of Sakalėlis Primary School from Alytus.
