5-8 graders from Ryto progymnasium in Vilnius joined a civic initiative this year for commemoration of the Warsaw ghetto uprising.
The pupils made daffodil blossoms, giving a meaning to April 19, marking the beginning of the Warsaw ghetto uprising. Vilma Riabovienė, the head of the Tolerance Education Center of Ryto progymnasium in Vilnius, was happy that this flower blossom had such a symbolic meaning.
The initiative was organized by the POLIN museum in Warsaw, and the idea was promoted in Lithuania by the Lithuanian Theater, Music and Film museum. The Secretariat of the International Commission invited representatives of the Tolerance Education Centers to support the initiative and join it.
